Please open your Bible to Ephesians Chapter 1 and read verse by verse.
Eph1:1. God’s holy and faithful people are united with one another in Christ in the city of __________, (fill in the blank with the name of your city). This is how we know if we are in a true body of believers. Are we united in Christ meaning all true believers? Not by any doctrine or color or tongue. Just lifting up Jesus, and letting His love united us.
Eph1: 2. If we are in a body of Christ that is united we will truly have good will towards all men & women, and His peace will fill us and those around us.
Eph1:3. As we praise our heavenly Father for giving us the many spiritual blessings, every spiritual blessing that heaven has to offer through Jesus our Lord and Savior. Then we will grow in His love for us and His love will radiate out to the world.
Eph1:4. It amazes me when I realize that God, our Father in heaven chose us to be in him before the foundation of the world and, that we would be holy and without blame before him in love.
Eph1:5. Our Father in heaven predestinated us to be adoption children, and Jesus the Christ has fulfilled all that was required to bring us to the throne of our Father, according to the good pleasure of his will. Having us come to His throne is a pleasure to God, He wants us there, and Jesus did all that is needed for us to be there.
Eph1:6. When we understand what Jesus has done for us, we can’t stop giving Him praise and glory in His grace, because He (Jesus) made us accepted in the Beloved.
Eph1:7. Realizing Jesus made us free by his blood sacrifice. He took our punishment and removed all our sins, past, present and future .We have forgiveness of sins because of God’s rich grace.
Eph1:8. Our Father poured out his kindness by giving us every kind of wisdom and insight. Freely meaning it is a gift not received because of anything we have done or will do.
Eph1:9. This was the mystery of his plan from the beginning of creation. He has revealed it to us through Christ and through the word of promise.
Eph1:10. He planned to bring all of history to its goal in Christ. Then Christ would be the head of everything in heaven and on earth. and we are part of that plan. May our Father in heaven help us do our part to find the lost and give them the knowledge of how much He wants their love.
Eph1:11. God decided ahead of time to choose us knowing that Jesus His Christ would come to earth according to his plan and make everything work the way He intends.
Eph1:12. When we receive Jesus as God and give Him the Glory that He had with our Father in heaven, it drives us to praise our Father and His only begotten Son.
Eph1:13. We have heard the good news of what God did through His Son Jesus. How Jesus came to earth and die in our place so we will be saved, but do we really believe it? Paul says here that we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit, do we know that? Or is it just a thought in our minds?
Eph1:14. Receiving the Holy Spirit guarantees that we will receive our inheritance in the heavenly realms. Even with our short comings and weakness.
Eph1:15. It truly amazes me when I see the love that Jesus put’s in our hearts, for all of God’s people
Eph1:16. We need to keep each other in our prayers, and thanking our Father in heaven for each other. remembering that we are all made different for a reason. Thanking our heavenly Father for each other.
Eph1:17. As you come to know Christ better This is the desire of all true believers, and if we do He will give us wisdom and revelations. After 42 years of being in Christ, I can truly say that I have seen Him work in my life. Not saying that I have come to some form of perfection, but I have grown to hear the leading of His Holy Spirit. By doing so He gives me wisdom and at times revelations.
Eph1:18. We gain a deeper insight and much more confidence as the years of trials and victory’s go by, as long as we do not give up. It’s wonderful to hear all the testimonies of what Jesus has accomplished in the lives of one another. The many writing of the saints of all ages, therefore giving us the glorious wealth that God’s people will inherit.
Eph1:19. You will also know the unlimited greatness of His power as it works with might and strength for us, the believers.
Eph1:20. God worked with that same power in Christ when he brought him back to life and gave him the highest position in heaven. Now the Lord offers us a place in His heavenly Kingdom. Our part is to build the Kingdom on earth that will also have its place in the eternal heavens. We build it by yielding to the Lords Holy Spirit daily. He will lead us to do and say what is needed to reap the great harvest of God.
Eph1:21. The Name of Jesus our Lord is far above all rulers, authorities, powers, lords, and all other names that can be named, not only in this present world but also in the world to come.
